ON THAMES AMATEUR OPERATIC AND DRAMATIC SOCIETY |

AGM
- 2nd September 2002 - The Green Room |
|
The
Annual General Meeting was held in the Green Room with the President,
Simon Williams, in the chair. Simon, who had travelled from Coventry
where his adaptation of Hound of the Baskervilles is currently showing,
was re-elected as President of the Society. Also elected as Vice
Presidents were Mr & Mrs John Luker and local TV producer Simon
Langton. Grainne Keegan was re-elected as the Honorary Secretary and the
new committee was elected with Terry Rymer as Chairman. |

The
meeting heard of a successful year for the Society, both in terms of
productions and social events with donations being agreed for five local
charities - Chiltern Air Ambulance, Henley MS, Sue Ryder, Headway and
Friends of Henley Hospital. |
|
Mention
was made regarding Teeth - which under Heather Simpkin's
direction, took second place at the Kenton Festival and first place at
the Wallingford Festival. Rebecca, directed by Julie Huntington
was awarded Runner-Up for the NODA Ron Kench Regional Drama Award. |

Other
productions mentioned were Kiss Me Kate, directed by Julia Rymer,
and The Merry Widow ,
directed by Michael Huntington. |

The
HAODS website was available for members to view, with Jane Shaw &
Bill Cummine there to answer any questions regarding the site. |
