CAR BOOT SALE JULY 2006 |
|

Fame and
fortune lured people to Henley Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society’s
car boot sale at Regatta Meadows last Sunday.A television crew was at the
event filming a ‘fly on the wall’ documentary following two families
from Hampshire in the last programme in a series called BBC Carbooty.
There was also an eclectic variety of items from a karaoke machine to a
Bex Bissel carpet sweeper. |

Julie Huntington from HAODS
said: “The crew arrived on site at 6.30 a.m. before we even had time
to finish setting up.“And people were queuing at the gate to get in
which might have had something to do with the photograph of my husband
Mike and fellow member Terry Rymer with no clothes on, in last week’s
Standard!” She added: “It was a good natured day and the
proceeds will help to replenish the theatre extension funds and go towards
our open-air production of Tom Jones which will be staged at Thamesfield,
Wargrave Road, Henley, from August 9th." |
