runners set off from Mill Meadows to complete in the HAODS annual May Day
Fun Run. The 5.2 mile circuit took them to the Flower Pot Pub at Aston, on
to Hambledon Lock and back down the river towpath to Mill Meadows. Apart
from the winners listed above, special mention must go to 4 year old
Michael Gillett who completed the course in 44 minutes running alongside
his grandfather - Bob Beales. Best HAODS performance was Nigel Offley. By
the time the last runner had picked up a medal HAODS had raised £1,400
towards future productions - well done to Geoff Clarkson for all his hard
work organising the event and to all the helpers on the day.
